I was watching an interview between
and , Everything growth with Justin Welsh. Within the first, five minutes of their interview, I began recognizing a pattern of shared sentiments that reflect from our Creator:Human Connection
Deep and Meaningful Relationships
Creative Expression
Community of Likeminded Persons
Authenticity and Engagement
Differentiation from what’s Artificial
One by one, I’ll illuminate on each of the above reflections.
Note: This article does not imply anyone else’s beliefs; but, my own. However, it is an opportunity to communicate my understandings of valuable truths, intended to inspire and benefit as many as can and will receive them.
HUMAN CONNECTION
Gen 1:26 KJV
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 KJV
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:26, 27 is God initiating the stage for human connection. Human connection typically takes place from common interests. God gave mankind dominion over the earth, similar to His dominion over all of creation.
Gen 2:16 KJV
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Genesis 2:16 is the first, Live, connection event between God and man. It’s also the first connection established on earth pertaining to food. You know how we humans like connecting over food. Right? God set the precedent. He gives us multiple instances through the Bible maintaining that pattern.
DEEP AND MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS
Job 7:17 ESV
What is man, that you make so much of him,
and that you set your heart on him,Psa 144:3 KJV
LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
Jhn 4:23 ESV
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
What is worship?
wor·ship| ˈwərSHəp | noun the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity:
ad·o·ra·tion| ˌadəˈrāSH(ə)n | noun deep love and respect:
CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
COMMUNITY OF LIKEMINDED PERSONS
Jhn 4:23 ESV
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
Phl 2:2 KJV
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
2Co 13:11 KJV
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
AUTHENTICITY AND ENGAGEMENT
Jhn 4:23 ESV
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
Isa 1:11 KJV
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
Isa 1:13 NLT
Stop bringing me your meaningless gifts;
the incense of your offerings disgusts me!
As for your celebrations of the new moon and the Sabbath
and your special days for fasting—
they are all sinful and false.
I want no more of your pious meetings.
DIFFERENTIATION FROM WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL
For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
The culture of Substack is being built around these Godly (God-like) characteristics. These traits are inherent from our Creator, as mentioned in Genesis. We crave them. We thrive in them. We die without them. We are not limited to them, alone. They are just part of the whole of what it means to be human.
For anyone searching for the answer(s) to the meaning of life. You can find it in those six, reflective attributes of God in us all. The seventh and greatest characteristic, that typically goes unmentioned is connection with God.

The following is the transcript from the interview between Ana Calin and Justin Welsh; from which, I identified the pattern of sentiments, central to this article. In future articles, as a PAID Member, you’ll get information like below and more with your PAID Subscription.
(00:02:51):
Ana: What made you come here?
(00:02:52):
Ana: And by the way, just a couple of weeks, right?
(00:02:56):
Ana: You have already gathered a community of over 13K followers and subscribers,
(00:03:01):
Ana: if I saw that correctly right now.
(00:03:03):
Justin: Yeah, that's right.
(00:03:05):
Justin: There were a lot of things.
(00:03:06):
Justin: So there's a few reasons why I went to Substack.
(00:03:10):
Justin: I think the first reason is that,
(00:03:12):
Justin: and I talked about this recently at an event that I was in in New York where
(00:03:17):
Justin: I can't ignore the oncoming onslaught of AI, artificial intelligence, right?
(00:03:23):
Justin: It's obviously becoming a big part of everybody's life.
(00:03:26):
Justin: And I think as it becomes more and more entrenched in our lives,
(00:03:32):
Justin: the one thing that I hope it might take the longest to eventually replace or
(00:03:36):
Justin: potentially never replace is human connection.
(00:03:40):
Justin: And so what I wanted to do was instead of looking for width, I'm looking for depth.
(00:03:47):
Justin: And I thought that Substack was a great place to do a few things,
(00:03:51):
Justin: to really lean into the creative writing side of my business and my life,
(00:03:55):
Justin: right?
(00:03:55):
Justin: It's not just my business.
(00:03:56):
Justin: It's just a thing that I enjoy doing.
(00:03:58):
Justin: So I chose Substack because I think it really forces you to be a creative writer, right?
(00:04:02):
Justin: There's no open API.
(00:04:06):
Justin: You can't really build it like a business.
(00:04:08):
Justin: It really has a lot of constraints.
(00:04:10):
Justin: And so it forces me to focus on the writing.
(00:04:15):
Justin: And then it allows me in a very lightweight way to build a community of other people who think
(00:04:21):
Justin: similar in a similar fashion to how I think, which is life first and business second.
(00:04:26):
Justin: And we do that with our lightweight chat.
(00:04:29):
Justin: We're doing some workshops.
(00:04:30):
Justin: And I chose it because it's not a big money making venture for me.
(00:04:34):
Justin: This isn't some profitable seven figure business that I'm building.
(00:04:38):
Justin: I'm building kind of the next thing for me, my second mountain, if you will.
(00:04:43):
Justin: You know,
(00:04:44):
Justin: I don't really want to, like, launch courses anymore or do coaching.
(00:04:48):
Justin: I'm not super into that.
(00:04:50):
Justin: I just want to build a small community of people who think like I think and go deep, not wide.
(00:04:55):
Justin: I hope that kind of makes sense.
(00:04:58):
Ana: Well, it does, and I'm going to quote you on that, you know, my second mountain.
(00:05:01):
Ana: I love that.
(00:05:02):
Ana: You know,
(00:05:02):
Ana: one thing, I’ve been on Substack only for eight months now,
(00:05:06):
Ana: and I have been deeply touched and surprised and everything that you want.
(00:05:10):
Ana: by the fact that the moment I joined, there was this sense of community.
(00:05:15):
Ana: And I know that on LinkedIn and on other platforms as well,
(00:05:17):
Ana: we are using this word as a buzzword a lot lately.
(00:05:20):
Ana: Build a community around you, blah, blah.
(00:05:23):
Ana: But here, it really is.
(00:05:24):
Ana: So people are really interested in actually building something authentic and
(00:05:28):
Ana: engaging without even asking and being there.
(00:05:32):
Ana: So I love that fact.
(00:05:33):
Ana: And I'm so happy you mentioned it because it's different indeed.
(00:05:37):
Ana: And I hope it will stay different.
Thank you for reading!
